In addition to producing more than 5,000 new jobs in Ohio, a federal requirement for a 15 percent improvement in electricity efficiency by 2020 would save Ohioans $2.86 billion on energy costs. Ohio could save more than $19 billion by setting a more ambitious energy efficiency goal of reducing demand by 29 percent by 2025.
Enhanced energy efficiency improves the bottom line of Ohio businesses and gives Ohio workers an edge in the increasingly competitive global marketplace.
